Join the Dungeons & Flagons team & 200 fellow gamers, for our next special event in our series of warm up events leading up to our exciting new event Manchester Board Game Festival.
Get ready for our next special event! On October 19th, from 11am to 10pm! We’re taking over the event floor at Sachas Hotel in the heart of Manchester for a full day of board games, RPGs, and more!
At the All-Day Board Game Festival, you’ll have access to the D&F board game library with over 500 games to choose from, including some exciting new releases and even a few not-yet-released titles. We’ll also have giant versions of games like Quoridor and Stomp the Plank for a fun twist!
Throughout the day, you can jump into RPG sessions or book spots at special events like the ever-popular "Immersion Pavilion." The MCR Geek Fayre will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and as a ticket holder for the festival, you’ll get free entry to browse the indie traders selling all kinds of geeky goodies, from board games to art and jewelry.
There’ll also be a Board Game Bring-and-Buy sale, where you can pick up some bargain second-hand games or sell games you no longer play!
Don’t miss the infamous "Oxleys Board Game Pub Quiz" in the mid-afternoon — perfect for breaking up the day with some trivia fun.
No need to worry if you're attending solo or with friends — our friendly D&F hosts will be on hand to welcome you and get you into games. We have systems in place, such as Tablemates for organizing games in advance, "Players Welcome" table signs, and green "Seat Available" chair covers. If you're still looking for a group, just ask a host, and they’ll introduce you to a table.
While the venue offers a full bar with light snacks, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages, feel free to bring your own food. There are plenty of food spots right on the doorstep, including Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
